Village of Lovers, and The Opening

Hi everyone, I have been taking a break from writing for a couple weeks. I’ll tell you more about why soon. In the meantime I will share a few video offerings. It seems I am in a couple films that are coming out around now. One is The Village of Lovers, by Ian MacKenzie and John Wolfstone. I’m going to be on Ian’s free program on February 14 that is based on the film – the program is called A Cry from the Future. Lots of other amazing speakers will be on the program (Bayo Akomolafe, Sophie Strand, Pat McCabe…) Here is another short film Ian made around the same time he was shooting me for the film. Community and the New Story. I love that Ian is distributing the film on a gift payment model. That means the viewer decides what the right amount to pay is. That way, financially abundant people can pay more, and people barely getting by can pay less or zero. The other film is called The Opening. It is a kind of documentary from another timeline, in which people speak about the impact on their lives of a mysterious “hole” that opened up in the sky. It was a lot of fun to be interviewed for that film and to speak from that timeline. The interviews have an uncanny ring of truth. The bring something of the transformative power of an unexplainable opening in the sky into our reality, as if it really did happen. And maybe it did. Don’t you kind of remember it?
