Trump Adviser-Turned-Critic Backs Trump Again: ‘I Was Wrong’

Leaker of Trump Tax Returns Faces Jail Term Trump Prosecutor's Divorce Filings Under Spotlight Bullies gonna Bully From the Perpetual Bully, the Dalai Bama CINDY SHEEHAN JAN 18 As Brother Larry Pinkney points out below, I was an early opponent of Brand (Bully) Obama. I wrote a book about him called: The Obama Files: Chronicles of an Award-Winning War Criminal, and Brother Larry wrote the foreword. I am reposting his foreword here, because it seems like an Obama is raising her? ugly head to stick her nose into the Swarming of the Swamp Things. All paid subscribers to this Substack get an e-copy of the book. PS: Don’t be fooled again by smooth-talking psychopaths. Foreword by Larry Pinkney Though often hidden or distorted, human history is replete with examples of courage and sacrifice by a relatively few political dissenters sounding the alarm and speaking truth to power. These dissenters are scorned and ridiculed by those who control the corporate mass media and its concomitant systemic machine of perpetual war, death, and destruction. Yet, US society in particular, and Mother Earth as a whole, are in dire need of these principled dissenters whose stories represent the very best of struggling humanity. This is the essence of Cindy Sheehan and why her actions and writings over many years are of such invaluable and enduring significance. She has repeatedly actualized the words of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., when he said, “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” After suffering the terrible loss of her son Casey, in the US war on Iraq, in 2004, Cindy Sheehan demonstrated an unshakable commitment to raise awareness nationally and internationally about 1) the underlying and unacceptable causes of war; 2) who the real purveyors of war actually are; and 3) the inextricable connection of—militarism and war—to poverty, corporate hegemony, the obliteration of human rights, ‘racism,’ and the de facto state sponsored ‘terrorism’ against humanity carried out as an integral part of the national and global surveillance police-state. In the stalwart tradition of Rosa Luxemburg, Lucy Parsons, Fannie Lou Hamer, and so many other courageous women and men of all colors, Cindy Sheehan has taken her message directly to everyday ordinary people. In plain language she urges people to critically think, and to link the issues together in order to bring about an end to the insane militarism, corporate greed, and environmental ravaging of our Mother Earth. Well before the conclusion of the eight years of G.W. Bush’s disastrous rule of perpetual war and unspeakable horrors abroad and at home, the tiny US corporate/military power elite was preparing and grooming a successor who would continue and substantively exacerbate the same Bush policies, while insidiously and effectively masquerading as someone who would bring about genuine change on behalf of the suffering masses in the US and globally. This successor and articulate political conjurer was Barack Obama—Mr. ‘hope and change,’ whose second largest 2008 Obama campaign contributor was none other than Wall Street’s notorious corporate blood-sucking Goldman Sachs. Thus, in 2008, the handwriting was in fact already on the wall, but with the complicity of the US corporate-stream mass media and numerous so-called ‘progressives,’ etc., the majority of everyday struggling people were thoroughly and cynically bamboozled to their own detriment. Indeed, on the third day of his first term as US President, Barack Obama mercilessly droned the sovereign nation of Pakistan, murdering children, women, and men non-combatants. Subsequently, Obama has gone on to massively increase the use of deadly US drone attacks upon many other sovereign nations in Africa, Asia, and the so-called ‘Middle East.’ It is estimated that at least 90 percent of the victims murdered and/or maimed by US killer drone attacks are non-combatant children, women, and men. Thus, Obama spawns more rage and hatred as a result of these ongoing killer drone attacks, and with it, the concomitant spiral of terror and perpetual war. Prior to 2009, when Barack Obama was officially installed as the nominally ‘black’ designated standard bearer for the US system of global Empire at home and abroad, there were precious few who had the principled courage to sound the alarm. Fortunately for us all, Cindy Sheehan and a relative handful of other dissenters, refused to be complicit with, or silenced by, the nauseating and deafening chorus in those days by the supporters of corporate brand Obama’s euphoria of madness on the US Democrat/Republican plantation of the damned. Not satisfied with his war crimes abroad, the wily corporate-controlled Drone Man Barack Obama, in service to the corporate/military elite, has bestowed upon himself his very own ‘kill list’—empowering him to target and have killed at will, individuals of any nationality (including US citizens) in the US, or anywhere else in the world, whom he, as judge, jury, and executioner, decides must die. This is Barack Obama’s so-called ‘hope and change.’ Whatever happened to international law and the US Constitution? Barack Obama’s repeated annual signing of the so-called National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which includes an outrageous unconstitutional provision authorizing the indefinite detention of any person or persons in the US without the due process of a legal defense attorney, a jury of one’s peers, or even an open trial is—onerous and utterly unacceptable—and is yet another indication of Obama’s hypocritical and arrogant disdain for the US Constitution, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Covenant On Civil and Political Rights. Cindy Sheehan has long made the connection between US militarism abroad and political repression, including the militarization of the police, at home. Thanks to her courage and diligence, an increasing number of people are becoming aware of just how relevant and extremely important making these connections are to our very survival as human beings on this precious planet of Mother Earth. It is with a sense of urgency that this book containing the writings of Cindy Sheehan—particularly as they pertain to Barack Obama and the current US political system—need to be read and re-read with a view towards making a critical analysis of the recent past, in order to bring about a seismic political change in the US and avert an even larger pending political, economic, and social future disaster in the year 2015 and beyond. May you be inspired to creative action by the clarity and cutting-edge honesty of Cindy Sheehan’s writings in this book! Forwarded this email? Last Week In Legal: Homewrecker Edition Hunter tries to control Congress, Trump speaks at closing, DA Fani Willis is a homewrecker. LORRAINE YURIAR JAN 18 ∙ PREVIEW

Hunter Biden Legal Troubles The week started with Hunter Biden making a surprise appearance at the House Oversight Committee Hearing just as they were discussing holding him in contempt for not answering the subpoena that requires him to sit for a closed-door hearing before a public hearing. You can watch the fireworks on C-Span. Hunter and most of the democrats demanded that they hold his public hearing right then and there. However, Comer and the GOP pointed out that the standard operating procedure in these kinds of investigations is to hold a closed-door hearing first, then a public hearing. The Trump kids all made multiple appearances before various committees behind closed doors, and Hunter needs to be held to the same standard. Despite the surprise appearance, both the Oversight and Judiciary Committees voted to hold Hunter in contempt of Congress. Hunter fled the hearing room when MTG began to speak and held a presser out in the hallway. By Friday, Hunter offered to come back and testify, but only if Congress sent him a new subpoena that agreed with his terms. Rep Comer essentially told him to pound sand and promised to move forward with the contempt resolution. Hunter should not get to dictate the terms of his subpoena. Closing arguments were held on January 11. Klasfeld tweeted the whole thing, which can be found in several different threads. Trump had asked to give his own closing, which the judge initially denied. But on the day of the hearing, Trump’s lawyer asked the judge to reconsider. Judge Engoron asked Trump if he would stay within the rules, and Trump immediately launched into his prepared campaign speech. It’s become obvious that Trump is going to play the martyr and make his many court appearances between now and the election into campaign stops. The problem is that he may have hurt his chances on appeal. Carroll 1 Speaking of court appearances turned into campaign stops, that is precisely what EJC’s lawyers warned the judge would happen if Trump was allowed to attend trial. Can Trump make Obamacare replacement a rallying cry for GOP again?

Can Trump make Obamacare replacement a rallying cry for GOP again?

Donald Trump wants to make healthcare great again — again.

The former president ignited a firestorm in Washington with a weekend social media post that called for seeking "alternatives" to the Affordable Care Act, which was passed in 2010 and is more commonly known as Obamacare.

KARI LAKE SAYS BIDEN UNLEASHED BORDER CRISIS 'INTENTIONALLY TO DESTABILIZE OUR COUNTRY'

"The cost of Obamacare is out of control, plus, it’s not good Healthcare," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "I’m seriously looking at alternatives."

Trump noted that Republicans almost tanked the law in 2017, an effort famously shot down by then-Sen. John McCain, saying it was "a low point for the Republican Party, but we should never give up!"

But rather than the GOP, it was Democrats who took quick notice of the comments and have delighted in rebuking them in the days since.

"There are 40 million people in America today who get their health insurance through the Affordable Care Act," President Joe Biden said at a Denver campaign reception. "His plan is to throw every one of them off that legislation. It would mean the number of uninsured African Americans would go up by 20%. Latinos would go up by 15%."

"If Trump has his way, that's gone," Biden added. His campaign has already purchased TV ads contrasting the president's healthcare approach with Trump's, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) predicted Democrats will capitalize on Trump's "bad political move” next year.

Republicans have been less assured in their response.

GOP strategist Doug Heye has doubts that Trump has fully thought out what replacing Obamacare would entail.

"If Trump is going to lead Republicans down repeal and replace again, they’ll have to come up with what replacement means, something we could not do in 2014 with the House’s smartest policy wonks working on it," Heye said ."Given that Trump isn’t exactly a policy person, this feels not fully baked."

Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and J.D. Vance (R-OH) have expressed support, but others, like Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD), said the idea needs more thought. Rounds indicated a concrete replacement isn't ready, telling NBC that "it would require us to start proposing what the change would be now so that we wouldn’t be in a position of repealing without having a better replacement."

Trump has posted twice more, trying to clarify his comments.

“I don’t want to terminate Obamacare, I want to REPLACE IT with MUCH BETTER HEALTHCARE. Obamacare Sucks!!!” he said in one.

Trump wrote in the other that "Getting much better Healthcare than Obamacare for the American people will be a priority of the Trump Administration," adding that the United States has "one of the worst" healthcare plans in the world.

The Trump campaign did not respond to questions from the Washington Examiner. He has released an extensive policy platform for a second White House term, but one that is mostly silent on the healthcare finance system.

Still, the Heritage Foundation's healthcare and welfare policy director, Nina Schaefer, thinks the time is right to call for a change.

"President Trump was right to revive the debate on Obamacare," she said. "Congress should double-down on efforts to expand patient control over healthcare dollars and decisions, offer more coverage choices and options, and give states much-needed flexibility to better design their healthcare markets."

A May 2023 Kaiser Family Foundation poll found that roughly 6 in 10 people say they have a favorable opinion of Obamacare.

Even if the proposal proves politically popular, implementing it will be difficult. Republicans would need to unify control of the White House and both chambers of Congress given that Democrats strongly support Obamacare. They had that trifecta in 2017, and the effort still failed.

The Department of Health and Human Services estimates that more than 40 million people are insured via Obamacare, though Republicans tend to focus on premium hikes and poor coverage in the wake of the 13-year-old law.

"Repeal and replace" was a big GOP slogan dating back to the Tea Party days of the early 2010s, though the rallying cry largely vanished following the 2017 vote.

If anyone can bring it back, it may be Trump, who is now drawing above 60% support in the RealClearPolitics average of Republican primary polls. Doing so may eventually require more details on the idea and a strong GOP message to counter Democratic attacks.
