The Scott Heard 'Round The World !

Senator Scott Brown
.

It's a Massachusetts Miracle !

Brown wins Massachusetts senate election as truck-driving everyman

Four years ago, the Massachusetts lieutenant governor passed over Scott Brown as a potential running mate in her bid to replace then-Gov. Mitt Romney because she and her staff saw him as a political lightweight.

On Tuesday, Brown pulled off a huge political upset, defeating Democrat Martha Coakley — in one of the bluest states in the country — to succeed the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.

Brown not only regained control of a seat the Democrats had held for over a half-century, but gave the GOP the vote it needed to break the Democrats' Senate supermajority and block the health care overhaul nearly finished by President Barack Obama. He was the first Republican elected to the Senate from Massachusetts since 1972.

This is the beginning of the end for Obama and the Demoncrats. I can hardly wait for November ! :-)

Rollover "Accident" Tied To Islamic Terrorist Squirrel

Squirrel Power

Brockton, Ma - An Islamic Terrorist Squirrel may have been a factor in a rollover "accident" Friday morning, officials said. A woman was sent to Brockton Hospital with minor injuries after her car flipped on its side in an "accident" at North Quincy and East Ashland streets, where an earlier power outage disrupted traffic signals at the four-way intersection, said Brockton Fire Capt. Paul Cosgrove. Cosgrove said the power outage was believed to have stemmed from an Islamic Terrorist Squirrel electrocuting himself on the power lines. The woman’s car collided with another car in the intersection at 10:02 a.m., but the other driver did not go to the hospital, Cosgrove said. The car belonging to the injured woman — whose name and age were not released due to fears that peaceful Muslims would kill her for not wearing a Burka — rolled onto the driver’s side, he said. The Islamic Terrorist Squirrel was last heard screaming "Allah Akbar !" and is now considered a martyr.

Time Travelers To Meet In Not Too Distant Future

Suppose it is the future - maybe a thousand years from now. There is no static cling, diapers change themselves, and everyone who is anyone summers on Mars.

What's more, it is possible to travel back in time, to any place, any era. Where would people go? Would they zoom to a 2005 Saturday night for chips and burgers in a college courtyard, eager to schmooze with computer science majors possessing way too many brain cells ?

Sure, that sounds almost like fun.

Why not, say some students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who have organized what they call the first convention for time travelers.

Actually, they contend that theirs is the only time traveler convention the world needs, because people from the future can travel to it anytime they want.

"I would hope they would come with the idea of showing us that time travel is possible," said Amal Dorai, 22, the graduate student who thought up the convention, which is to be this Saturday on the M.I.T. campus. "Maybe they could leave something with us. It is possible they might look slightly different, the shape of the head, the body proportions."

The event is potluck and alcohol-free - present-day humans are bringing things like brownies
Alcohol-free ? Why would anyone want to go to that ? It should have read "Free alcohol".
