The Freaking Wedding

I don't get why Americans fawn over Royal Weddings.
Didn't we win a revolutionary war to sever ourselves from that nonsense ?
I find the whole idea of a Royal Family insulting.
They're better than me why ?
Oh, because they were born into one family and I was born (actually adopted) into another.
Screw the Royals.
The French did at least one good thing.
They chopped off the heads of their Royalty.
Which was a better fate than Royals routinely sentenced their "subjects" too.
