Massive Cornwall Rockfall
It looks a little like something from a slightly rough and ready disaster film.
In fact it is a piece of Cornwall tumbling into the Atlantic Ocean, caught by a cameraman apparently out for a clifftop walk.
The footage of tens of thousands of tonnes of rock crashing into the sea has been posted on YouTube and is attracting the interest of geologists from around the world.
It is not that such falls are particularly rare but it is uncommon for such clear footage to be captured.
The cameraman was on the North Cliffs near Hell's Mouth in north Cornwall when the earth started to move.
One woman who is with the cameraman can be heard crying: "Oh My God" as part of the 100 metre high cliff peels away. A man asks: "Are there any people down there?"
Engineering geologist Pete Hobbs of the British Geological Survey said: "That is some of the best footage I've ever seen of a rock-fall." He estimated that about 100,000 tonnes of rock had fallen into the sea.
"You get something like this once every five years maybe. The chances of catching this on video are incredibly slim: I suspect the cameraman must have noticed something.
"I wonder if he heard some noise or heard some movement before the fall? It is absolutely amazing footage."

The plane crashed into a Ferris wheel at a rural festival in eastern Australia on Saturday, trapping four people in the tangled wreckage for hours. There were no serious injuries.
The Cheetah S200 carrying two men did not topple the Ferris wheel when it hit the frame near the top on the first morning of an annual three-day festival at Old Bar, a coastal village 220 miles (350 kilometers) north of Sydney, New South Wales Rural Fire Service spokesman Ben Shepherd said.
Two children - a 9-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl - where trapped in a carriage at the top of the wheel near the wrecked plane for 90 minutes, a police statement said.
The 53-year-old pilot and his 32-year-old passenger were trapped inside the mangled aircraft more than 30 feet (10 meters) above the ground for almost three hours, police said.
Shepherd said rescuers used a crane to free the four.

Frank and Louie, a gray feline with two mouths, two noses and three eyes, just turned 12 years old and is the world's oldest, living two-faced cat.
Frank and Louie has craniofacial duplication, an extremely rare congenital condition. The disorder, also known as diprosopia, can cause part or all of an individual's face to be duplicated on its head.
Frank and Louie was born on September 8, 1999. His remarkable life will be commemorated in Guinness World Records' new 2012 edition.
The cat's owner, a woman only identified as Marty, lives near Worcester, Massachusetts. She was a veterinary technician in 1999 when a day-old, two-faced kitten about the size of her thumb was brought into her clinic to be euthanized.
The life expectancy for a two-faced cat is about four days because they usually suffer from other disorders.
"When he was first born, every day was a blessing," Marty told a local radio station on Tuesday.
She immediately adopted Frank and Louie. The cat has one brain so both faces act in unison. Two of his eyes -- the outermost ones -- are normal, while the middle eye is larger but doesn't function.
The cat eats on the right side, using Frank's face, which is connected to his esophagus, while Louie's nose twitches at the same time, his owner said.

The rescuers are being called "heroes" and "angels"; the footage of their few minutes of heroics was captured on video and has gone viral on the Internet. The man they saved, a 21-year-old Utah State University student, is grateful.
"I'm just thankful for everyone that helped," Wright said by telephone from his hospital bed. "They saved my life."

Pega
So I was "volunteered" to take training classes and participate in a project using something called Pega. The company that created this system is Pega Systems, get it ? Anyway, I'd never heard of Pega and had no idea what this project was about. It turns out that this may be the best thing to happen to me in years ! The system is Übercool and I will finally be a Programmer/Analyst/Developer again instead of cranking out boring SQL Scripts and Stored Procedures. The team is very enthusiastic and happy. I should finally find some of the camaraderie that has been sorely absent in my current team. The entire way of thinking and doing is totally different from everything else at the place I work, more like things are done in for profit business. They do code reviews ! When I heard that I said, "Finally". The head of the project asked me, "What ?". I said, "Finally. It's driven me nuts since I started here that you have five or six people reviewing and double-checking everything EXCEPT the code !" Plus I learned today that expereince in Pega is in VERY high demand. I'm talking six figure income demand. I really think this is going to work out great !

I don't know if anyone "won" the debate.
There were too many candidates.
I know who lost the debate:
That's all that matters.
Especially being hosted by two liberal rags like POLITICO and NBC.
Letting those liberal scum into the Ronald Reagan Library ? WTF.
Still, what Democrat candidate would allow Fox News to host their debates ?
None.
They have got to stop allowing the liberal press dictate where the debates happen and who moderates the debates. Right off the bat Brian Williams set up the premise that today's economic problems were the fault of Republicans. No bias there. Screw the MSM. We do not need them.

Employers added no jobs in August -- an alarming setback for the economy that renewed fears of another recession and raised pressure on Washington to end the hiring standstill.
Worries flared Friday after the release of the worst jobs report since September 2010. Total payrolls were unchanged, the first time since 1945 that the government reported a net job change of zero. The unemployment rate stayed at 9.1 percent.
The dismal news two day before Labor Day sent stocks plunging. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 253 points, or more than 2 percent.
Analysts say the economy cannot continue to expand unless hiring picks up. In the first six months of 2011, growth was measured at an annual rate of 0.7 percent.
