Leaving For Hawaii

I'm leaving for Hawaii in the morning. While I'm gone the media server is on it's own for six days. Hopefully all will be well while I'm away. If not, consider it a preview for my move in October when none of my images, movies or music will be available until I resettle and redirect everything to be hosted from Hawaii. Aloha !

Obama Takes A Page (or two) From Stalin And Hitler

The high and mighty Greek God Obama doesn't want anyone talking about his close relationship with the terrorist Bill Ayres. So much so that they threaten legal action against anyone bringing this ugly truth to light. He's even taking to having reporters arrested for trespassing on a public sidewalk. This is the kind of hope and change he wants to bring to America. This is what America can expect to be a daily occurrence if he becomes President.

Well I'm bringing it up Barack Hussein Obama. Millions of other Americans will too.
You have a lot of questions to answer about your relationship with unrepentant Bill Ayers. Threats and intimidations won't silence us. You have a lot to answer for Mr. Obama. Guilt by association ? Well, considering the job you're applying for... hell yes.

You Libs always talk big on free speech, until someone says something you don't agree with. Then you're always quick for harassment or even legal action.

Oh, and congratulations on having a ticket that's even more liberal than the last two ! I didn't think that was possible ! And having two Senators on the ticket ! Neither with any executive experience, let alone experience at all in the case of Obama ! And Biden ? Are you kidding me ? He's been on the wrong side of history his entire career ! The depth of sound bites and video feeds from this windbag will be a goldmine for McCain.

So read the links.
See for yourself.
This the the change Obama wants to bring to America.

Inflation Hits 11,200,000 Percent !

The Jimmy Carter Years ?
Well, almost...

Can you imagine living in a place where a loaf of bread cost 1.6 trillion dollars ?
There is such a place.

100 Billion Dollars

Zimbabwe inflation hits 11,200,000 percent

HARARE, Zimbabwe (CNN) -- Zimbabwe's inflation rate has soared in the past three months and is now at 11.2 million percent, the highest in the world, according to the country's Central Statistical Office.

Zimbabwe's inflation rate has soared to a world high.

Official figures dated Monday show inflation has surged from the rate of 2.2 million percent recorded in May, despite the government's price controls.

The country's finance minister confirmed the new figure in an interview but said the rising inflation rate was not confined to Zimbabwe alone.

"While our case has been aggravated by the illegal sanctions imposed by the Western powers, rising food prices are a world phenomenon because of the use of bio-fuel," said Samuel Mumbengegwi. "But we will continue to fight inflation by making sure that prices charged are realistic."

In February, the price of a loaf of bread in the country was less than 200,000 Zimbabwe dollars. On Monday, that same loaf of bread cost 1.6 trillion Zimbabwe dollars.

Analysts have said the Zimbabwean government's official inflation rate figures are conservative. Last week, one of Zimbabwe's leading banks, Kingdom Bank, said the country's inflation rate was now more than 20 million percent.

The locally-owned bank predicted tougher times ahead for Zimbabwe in the absence of donor support and foreign investment in an economy that has been in freefall for almost a decade.

Don't Miss
Zimbabwe summit fails to reach agreement
Once considered the breadbasket of Africa, Zimbabwe has been in the throes of an economic meltdown ever since the country embarked on a chaotic land reform program that has decimated commercial agriculture.

Analysts say the crisis has worsened following President Robert Mugabe's disputed reelection in the June 27 presidential run-off. His challenger Morgan Tsvangirai boycotted the race over widespread allegations of violence and voter intimidation.

The economic crisis has destroyed Zimbabwe's currency and made it difficult for Zimbabweans to buy basic commodities, electricity, fuel, and medicines. Many Zimbabweans have left the country amid rising unemployment and deepening poverty.

Last week a summit in South Africa of regional African leaders failed to persuade Zimbabwe's political parties to agree to form a government of national unity, which observers view as the best way to end Zimbabwe's record recession.

I guess that land reform program (Steal land from the evil white farmers) worked out pretty well for them.

I'm going to buy a few of those 100 Billion Dollar Bills just for the fun of saying I'm a billionaire.

Sorry for service downtime today. Someone at IP address 58.9.110.32 kept making repeated requests for OdeToMyFamily.mp3 and was overwhelming my system. I'm pretty sure it was a DOS attack. Anyway, I renamed the file until the jerk goes away.

Complex S(expletive..)

Flying piece of shit art causes museum chaos in Switzerland

A giant inflatable dog turd by American "artist" Paul McCarthy blew away from an exhibition in the garden of a Swiss museum, bringing down a power line (Oh no ! Energy Crisis !) and breaking a greenhouse window (Oh no ! Greenhouse Gases !) before it landed again, the museum said Monday.
The art work, titled "Complex S(expletive..)", is the size of a house. The wind carried it 200 metres (yards) from the Paul Klee Centre in Berne before it fell back to Earth in the grounds of a children's home (They're going to be in therapy for a while... "Can't sleep, Giant Poo will get me !"), said museum director Juri Steiner.

The inflatable turd broke the window at the children's home when it blew away on the night of July 31, Steiner said. The art work has a safety system which normally makes it deflate when there is a storm, but this did not work when it blew away.

Steiner said McCarthy had not yet been contacted and the museum was not sure if the piece would be put back on display.

Russia Invades Georgia, World Distracted By Games

Georgia says Russian tanks mean 'war' in South Ossetia
This is bad.

Russia sent troops and dozens of tanks and armoured vehicles into the breakaway Georgian province of South Ossetia today, vowing to protect its citizens in a move described by Tbilisi's pro-Western Government as an act of war.

A South Ossetian rebel minister said that more than 1,000 people had been killed in overnight shelling of the city of Tskhinvali, the separatist capital which Georgia claimed today to have captured.

In probably the most serious regional crisis since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, at least 50 Russian tanks – and possibly many more – rumbled through the Roki tunnel, which cuts through the Caucasus mountains separating South Ossetia from the Russian province of North Ossetia.

The Russian incursion came after Georgian forces moved to regain control of the region that broke away along with rebel Abkhazia in the 1990s. Russia backs the separatists in both provinces and has its own peacekeeping forces there.

"One hundred and fifty Russian tanks, armoured personnel carriers and other vehicles have entered South Ossetia," President Saakashvili of Georgia told reporters in Tbilisi. "This is a clear intrusion on another country’s territory. We have Russian tanks on our territory, jets on our territory in broad daylight."

Mr Saakashvili added that Georgian forces had downed two Russian jet fighters over Georgian territory.

Georgia mobilised its reservists yesterday and launched a massive offensive overnight. Fighting raged today around the city of Tskhinvali, the regional capital, as Georgian troops backed by tanks and warplanes pounded separatist forces,

A senior Russian military commander said parts of Russia’s 58th army were approaching the rebel capital.

"We cannot allow the deaths of our countrymen to go unpunished. The guilty parties will receive the punishment they deserve," President Medvedev told a meeting of his security council in the Kremlin.

"I am obliged to protect the lives and dignity of Russian citizens, no matter where they are located."

Mr Medvedev's predecessor, Vladimir Putin, now Prime Minister, warned on a visit to Beijing, where he attended the Olympic opening ceremony, that the Georgian action would bring "retaliatory measures".

Both Nato and the White House appealed for an end to the fighting as international diplomacy went into overdrive and Mr Putin discussed the crisis with President Bush at a gathering ahead of the Olympic ceremony. A US official said that 100 American military trainers working in Georgia were all safe.

"Russia is fighting a war with us in our own territory," he told CNN as Russian armour rolled into South Ossetia.

"It’s not about Georgia anymore. It’s about America, its values: we are a freedom-loving nation that is right now under attack."

Tensions between Georgia and Russia have been rising over the last few months over South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Georgia accuses Russia of fermenting trouble in both regions and supporting the separatist governments as a way to put pressure on Georgia and foil its attempts to join Nato. Russia has given out passports to a majority of South Ossetians and Abkhazians.

At Least We Don't Have To Deal With Edwards Anymore

Edwards Admits Sexual Affair; Lied as Presidential Candidate

John Edwards repeatedly lied during his Presidential campaign about an extramarital affair with a novice filmmaker, the former Senator admitted to ABC News today.

In an interview for broadcast tonight on Nightline, Edwards told ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff he did have an affair with 44-year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he loved only his wife, Elizabeth.

"Two years ago I made a very serious mistake," Edwards said, blaming the prominence of being a vice presidential candidate. "All of which fed a self-focus, an egotism, a narcissism that leads you to believe that you can do whatever you want," he said.

Edwards has always been egotistic and a narcissist.
Just as he has always been a fraud, liar, cheat, hypocrite, etc.

He's also an idiot.
How could he run for President and not know this would come out ?

Now we just have to wait for whatever Obama has hidden to come out.
You know, besides the whole being friends with William Ayers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, etc.

Milestone

I turned in my one Month notice today !

I have officially committed to my plan.
I will be living in Mililani, Hawaii by the end of October.
It went much better than I expected.
They were all happy for me.
My "Boss" on site was eager for me to work remotely once I get settled.
I struggled with this the whole Month.
But, there will always be a reason not to do it.
Time to do it.
Time to move to Hawaii.

RNC Letter

So I got this in the snail mail today.

Dear Mr. Bawdy,

I don't want to believe you've abandoned the Republican Party, but I have to ask... Have you given up ?

Our records show we have not yet received your Republican National Committee membership renewal for the critical 2008 presidential election year.

As the Treasurer of the RNC, I know our Party's success depends directly on grassroots leaders like you.

So I am surprised and concerned especially because I know how generously you supported President Bush and the RNC in the past. You helped to advance our vision for America and elect Republicans at all levels of government.

Mr. Bawdy, I know other things come up, and perhaps you've just been delayed in renewing your membership. If that's the case, I understand.

But we've not heard from you this year -- and I hope you haven't deserted our Party.

Your generous financial assistance and active involvement are more important than ever as we work to elect a new Republican president and Congress.

There is so much at stake. The Democrats are determined to put a liberal like Barack Obama in the White House, expand their narrow majorities in the U.S. House and Senate, and push our country to the Left with their agenda of high taxes, big government and weakened national security.

Big Labor, radical liberal protest groups and Hollywood elites are planning to spend more than $500 million to defeat Republicans and aid the Democrat power grab.

Mr. Bawdy, the RNC relies on the voluntary support of Republican activists like you.

That's why I urgently need you to renew your RNC membership for 2008 with a contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or even $25.

The men and women who will represent us in this year's election are hard at work building strong campaigns.

And so is the RNC. We are doing our part to provide the research, staff support, voter registration, volunteer recruitment and training, and direct financial assistance our candidates need to win.

The RNC is the ONLY Republican organization permitted by federal law to directly support our presidential nominee.

If we fail to hold the White House and make gains in Congress, the Democrats have made clear they will overturn every reform you helped President Bush achieve.

Democrat presidential candidates and the Reid/Pelosi-run-Congress have promised to repeal the Bush tax cuts, retreat from the War on Terror and increase the size of government through their one-size-fits-all health care plan.

We cannot allow them to succeed ! That's why your renewed commitment is so important.

So if you have delayed in renewing your membership because you feel the RNC has let you down, or no longer needs you, please let me know. I want to hear from you.

Just include your comments and suggestions with the enclosed Membership Confirmation and return with your 2008 membership renewal check. You can also renew by calling 1-800-445-5781 or via our secure website at www.GOP.com/Treasurer2008.

But please don't turn your back on our Republican candidates running for office from the Courthouse to the White House; they are counting on your support. Renew your RNC membership today. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Tim Morgan
RNC Treasurer

P.S. The 2008 elections are critical to the future of our nation. We need the support of every Republican to retain the White House, regain Congress and elect GOP legislators at all levels. Please don't quit on our Party and our cause now. Renew your RNC membership today.
Thank you.

OK.

This letter infuriated me.

Let me address it point by point.

I did NOT abandon the Republican Party, the Republican Party abandoned ME !

I HAVE given up ! This Party has spent the last eight years spitting on us Conservatives !

If you know the Party's success depends directly on grassroots leaders like me, then why have you turned your back on me ?

I helped to advance our vision for America ? Really ? I didn't want to advance a vision for America that included:
  • McCain/Feingold which spat upon the 1st Amendment which President Bush didn't veto.
  • McCain/Bush/Kennedy that grants Citizenship to Illegal Immigrants, doesn't secure our borders and leaves our country more vulnerable to infiltration by our enemies.
  • McCain/Lieberman that buys into the Global Warming Hoax and will waste untold billions of dollars and cost untold amounts of jobs fighting a Boogieman that doesn't exist.
  • The Gang of 14, which included McCain, that prevented the confirmation of conservative appellate court candidates nominated by President George W. Bush.
  • A candidate that still will not endorse drilling for oil in ANWR.
  • The Bush Prescription Drug Plan. Yet another entitlement program that cannot be funded.
  • Bigger Government, a higher deficit, less freedom and more bureaucracy.

My vision for America was the anti-thesis for what McCain and Bush shoved down our throats with the exceptions of National Security and Tax Cuts. Hell, Bush didn't figure out where his Veto Pen was until his sixth year in office !

Perhaps I've just been delayed in renewing my membership ? Yep. Delayed until the Republican Party remembers who it is that funds and votes for them and why we fund and vote for them.

You hope I haven't deserted our Party ? The Party deserted ME !

My generous financial assistance and active involvement are more important than ever as we work to elect a new Republican president and Congress ?
How so ? It didn't advance the Conservative cause the last few elections. McCain is a RINO. The Republican Senators and Congressmen should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done and what they have failed to do these past eight years. If my generous financial assistance and active involvement were important before, why did you not only ignore me and your Conservative base, but go against almost every principle we hold dear ?

The Democrats are determined push our country to the Left with big government ? Wow. Wonder what you guys did ?
Agenda of high taxes ? Why didn't you guys make the tax cuts permanent when you could ? Instead, the Democrats don't have to raise taxes, just let the tax cuts expire. Good move !

The RNC relies on the voluntary support of Republican activists like me ? You sure seem to have forgotten it's an exchange. I give support to you and you vote the way I want. Bad votes, no dough.

A contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or even $25 ? How about not one stinking penny ? Have you gotten the idea yet ? You haven't done a damned thing to deserve one damned penny from me.

The men and women who will represent us in this year's election are hard at work building strong campaigns ? Yeah. Good luck with that. They haven't represented me in the past, why would they now ? Here's a few hints:

  • Drill here and drill now. ANWR included.
  • Buld some new refineries already, it's only been thirty-two years for God's sake.
  • Seal the damned border.
  • Arrest and deport the Illegal Immigrants.
  • Repeal McCain/Feingold.
  • Repeal McCain/Lieberman.
  • Repeal The Bush Prescription Drug Plan.
  • Make the tax cuts permanent.
  • Endorse and push the Fair Tax.
  • Stop increasing the size of Government.
  • Stop spending MY money on pork.
  • Get another candidate for President.

The RNC is doing their part to provide the research ? How about listening to your constituents for a change ?

The RNC is the ONLY Republican organization permitted by federal law to directly support our presidential nominee ? First, he's is not MY presidential nominee. Second, you can thank his own insane "reform" for that. Third, you capitalized everything except President and Presidential, WTF is up with that ?

If you fail to hold the White House and make gains in Congress, the Democrats have made clear they will overturn every reform I helped President Bush achieve ? Again, I didn't want most of the "reforms" President Bush achieved. They were NOT reforms and they were certainly NOT Conservative.

Democrat presidential candidates and the Reid/Pelosi-run-Congress have promised to repeal the Bush tax cuts, retreat from the War on Terror and increase the size of government through their one-size-fits-all health care plan ? Yeah ? Well, they don't need to repeal the Bush tax cuts, they just have to let them expire. Retreat from the War on Terror ? Yeah, they will and America will be attacked again. Increase the size of government ? I don't see how that's much different from what the Republican Party has done.

My renewed commitment is so important ? What about your renewed commitment to me and my values, my vote ?

So then you have the gall to say "So if you have delayed in renewing your membership because you feel the RNC has let you down, or no longer needs you, please let me know. I want to hear from you." BUT: You'll only hear from me if I include my comments and suggestions with an enclosed Membership Confirmation with my 2008 membership renewal check. You didn't listen the last time I sent you money, why would I think you'll listen now ?

Don't turn MY back on our Republican candidates running for office ? Seems to me the Republican candidates have turned their backs on me !

About your P.S.
The Party quit on me and our cause years ago.

The Republican Party is a stinking roadkill on the roadside of history waiting for someone in DOT to scrape up.

Pissed off at the RNC ?
Damned right I am.

You're the ones that allowed open primaries that enabled Independents and Democrats to elect McCain as our nominee.
You're the ones that allowed crap legislation to pass when we controlled the Presidency and both Houses of Congress.

You betrayed us.

Now you, a sycophant named Tim Morgan dare to accuse me of abandoning the Conservative Cause ? Makes me want to spit.

Please find enclosed nothing.
That's what you and your Party have given me.

"I thought I heard something, but maybe it was just a dream, I used to hear you but now I know, All your talk is cheap skywriting, it’s big & bold until the smoke has cleared. A gust of wind & words are re-arranging, and suddenly the message just disappears."

I'm going Libertarian this time.
At least they stand for something.

U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Officers executed search warrants over the weekend at the Oasis Apartments complex in Waipahu.

States That Won't Allow Offshore Drilling

Click on the pic to enlarge
.

So let's imagine if Congress lets individual States decide if the State wants Offshore Drilling a hundred miles or more Offshore and the State says, "No".
Fine.
Pass a law where that State pays twice the price for gas as the rest of would pay to subsidize the rest of us.
That should be favorable to the Demoncrats. They're all about redistribution of wealth and all.

Obama Declares The Calendar Will Start Over

Click on the pic to enlarge
.
Presidential candidate Senator Barack Hussein Obama (D - Illinois) declared today that, "If elected, the event will be of such historic magnitude that the calendar should be changed in recognition of this momentous occasion. Instead of using the traditional and outdated B.C. and A.D. the new calendar will have B.O. and A.O. The significance of this change is self evident as in the time of B.O. everything stank and in the period of A.O. everyone will be required to say A.O. in an Ed McMahon manner which makes people smile without actually making anything better."

(Shrug)
I guess if Hugo Chavez can create his own time zone, why not let Barack Hussein Obama create his own calendar ?

Democrats Demand Energy Companies Do Something !

They're Not Opposed To Drilling

Click on the pic to enlarge
.

From Investor's Business Daily:

Oil Shock: When it comes to energy policy, Democrats always talk a good game. But look at their actual record while in control of Congress in the last year and a half. It's been nothing short of disastrous.

Wasn't it two years ago that then-Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi vowed, if her party took over Congress, to cut energy prices — especially gasoline?

"Democrats have a common-sense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices by cracking down on price-gouging; rolling back the billions of dollars in taxpayer subsidies, tax breaks and royalty relief given to big oil and gas companies; and increasing production of alternative fuels," Pelosi wrote back in April 2006, as part of her efforts to convince Americans to elect Democrats.

How's that working for you? As the chart below shows, the cost of energy — measured by the price of West Texas Intermediate crude — is up more than 70%.

Under Pelosi's "common-sense plan," Congress has achieved nothing. Actually, less than nothing, considering that what little has been done has hurt, rather than helped the U.S. to become more self-sufficient. This year alone, we'll spend $431 billion to buy 3.7 billion barrels of imported oil to run our economy. And in so doing, we are enriching some of the world's most unsavory regimes.

Ironically, we have plenty of oil — at least 10 billion barrels in Alaska's National Wildlife Reserve, 30 billion or so offshore and a whopping 1.2 trillion in Rocky Mountain oil-shale. But Democrats' extreme green ideology keeps us from drilling for it.

Clean coal technologies likewise have been put out of bounds. So is the most logical answer to our energy problem — nuclear power plants that can be run safely with spent rods reprocessed. France already does this to meet 80% of its energy needs.

Democrats have focused instead on an insane global warming plan that would cost $1.2 trillion. Subsidies and other breaks for biofuels have helped send food prices soaring.

It would be nice to say they've learned their lesson, but they haven't. Instead, they've gone on a shrill campaign to vilify American oil companies, holding kangaroo hearings in Congress to embarrass CEOs who work hard to bring us more energy.

Just Wednesday, Pelosi sent a letter to President Bush, urging him to look into OPEC price-fixing, to punish "price-gougers" and to end tax breaks for oil companies and use the money to invest in questionable alternative energy schemes.

Excuse us, but that's pretty much the plan congressional Democrats have pursued for a year and a half with zero success. As in the 1970s, this is a human-made crisis — one that has solutions. But it's the Democrats, along with a few equally misguided Republicans, who steadfastly refuse to implement them.

For this reason if for no other, none of them deserves re-election.

Talking Dog for Sale

From Bob and Tom
