NYC Mayoral Candidates Learning Spanish

This is disgusting. What happened to the "melting pot" ? Are candidates learning Gaelic, Hungarian, German, Polish, French, Dutch, Mandarin or any of the hundreds of other languages for votes ? No. Do we want the mess that Canada has ? A country speaking more than one official language can not for long be one country. When you move here you decide to become an American. Part of being American is speaking American English. What makes the Spanish language so important above the others ? If your culture and your former country were so great, why the hell did you feel the need to leave there and come here ? We must stop this nonsense before it's too late and the United States of America ceases to be. Maybe it's to late already.
