Insurgents (read Muslim Terrorists) posing as police destroyed the golden dome of one of Iraq's holiest Shiite shrines Wednesday, setting off an unprecedented spasm of sectarian violence. Angry crowds thronged the streets, militiamen attacked Sunni mosques, and at least 19 people were killed.
With the gleaming dome of the 1,200-year-old Askariya shrine reduced to rubble, some Shiites lashed out at the United States as partly to blame.
Muslims attack Muslims and we're somehow to blame ? Only followers of Islam could twist things like that.
President Bush pledged American help to restore the mosque after the bombing north of Baghdad, which dealt a severe blow to U.S. efforts to keep Iraq from falling deeper into sectarian violence.
"The terrorists in Iraq have again proven that they are enemies of all faiths and of all humanity," Bush said. "The world must stand united against them, and steadfast behind the people of Iraq."
British Prime Minister Tony Blair also condemned the bombing and pledged funds toward the shrine's reconstruction.
So they blow up their own shrines and we pick up the tab ? Huh ? (Yes I know about the schism, how some thugs murdered the designated successors of Mohammed (torment be upon him) to usurp the exalted leadership of Islam. But after reading the Koran I think Mohammed (torment be upon him) would approve. Sounds like something he would have done to achieve power. Be glad Jesus didn't have any kids.) So we rebuild their dome. So what ? That won't stop them from blaming us for what their own people did, or maybe not...
In the hours after the attack, more than 90 Sunni mosques were attacked with automatic rifles and rocket-propelled grenades, burned or taken over by Shiites, the Iraqi Islamic Party said.
This is going to get uglier.
At least the stupid cartoons will be pushed to the back burner while the peaceful Muslims kill each other... for now...
Drudge had the headline as: "Hell Unleashed"... it could have read "Islam Unleashed" and been just as accurate.

The Koran does not teach violence but it does say that you must protect your land to keep your family safe... Their are many misconceptions but i guess your just as un-educated as the terrorist you hate so much. Poeple use many methods to get away with their actions. The Catholic preist do it when they molest inoccent boys, adults do when they cheat... Humans try and use any method to palm the blaim to someone else. But man was choosing to disobey. A true Prophet upholds the law according to God not change it! There is only one God and Muhammed is the messenger of God!!!!!!!
