Dear Brebeuf Jesuit Community, We are pleased to provide an update on our presidential search efforts. The Search Committee has reviewed a robust pool of application portfolios from across the country and completed the semi-final round of seven in-person interviews. After thoughtful deliberation, the committee reached consensus to invite three candidates to return for the final round of in-person interviews. Each candidate will be on campus for a separate two-day visit beginning Wednesday, February 7. During this time, candidates will meet with faculty, administration, staff, students, trustees, and key stakeholders. This is an important opportunity for our community to learn more about each candidate and in turn, the candidates will gain greater insight into the mission of Brebeuf Jesuit. We would like to briefly remind you of the overall process for determining our next president. Hiring the president is one of the most important responsibilities of the Board of Trustees. To assist the Board, we have engaged an outside professional search firm specializing in the placement of leadership in academic institutions, in addition to the appointment of a resolute search committee charged with the responsibility to lead the search. Throughout the process they have gathered data necessary through evaluation of candidate materials, interviews, reference checks, observations, and analyses to find the right person to lead our school. Based on the work of the search committee, they will make a recommendation to the Board and the Provincial of the Society of Jesus for the Midwest Province summarizing their review and final recommendation. Once this is complete, the Board will vote on the recommendation. We anticipate making an announcement regarding the new president in April. This is an exciting time for our community, and we look forward to this final phase of our search for the next president of Brebeuf Jesuit.
