Dust bunnies... You're going to (AAACHHHOOO!) enjoy this. JAN 25

Dusted once. It came back. Not falling for that again. Sometime around 2012, I’d had enough allergic reactions that it was time for blood and scratch tests to see what the culprits were. Because chocolate, cinnamon, and other foods fell under oral allergy syndrome, they didn’t register on the tests. But what did appear were dogs and cats, cats being the worse of the two. We knew this, and I take allergy medicine so we can have dogs. Our limit (for now) is five. The feral cats in the backyard satisfy my need for feline pets. A neighbor vets and feeds them, so I get the joy of waving through the office window and making up backstories for them. Some might appear in books! I’m an author. Anything’s possible in fiction. Back to the allergies and things that wind up in books. I’m also allergic to mildew and dust. Since moving from a house with a leaky basement on the side of a mountain in West Virginia to the South Carolina coast, the mildew is no longer an issue. Five dogs plus a fireplace (even if it’s seldom-used and not wood burning) means we still have dust. Between the dust allergies (thanks to my failure to ask my guys to clean the ceiling fan in my office) and the seasonal allergies (who knew South Carolina would have all four seasons in less than a month?!), I slept until noon last Sunday. And then I slept until noon again on Monday, which meant missing something work-related. It could be rescheduled, but wow, did I feel terrible about it. I’m feeling much better now, thank goodness, and my youngest son cleaned the ceiling fan (which is really high thanks to the vaulted ceiling) in the office. It’s not unusual for me to work friends’ allergies into books. When I wrote The Deadly Dust Bunnies, the second book in the Haunted Housekeeping series, I added some sinister-looking dust bunnies just for fun. The irony wasn’t lost on me earlier this week, though! Now I’m taking notes for The Fluffed and Folded Phantom, which is the fifth book in the Haunted Housekeeping Series. Our intrepid sleuths, Tori and Hazel, take part time jobs in Tori’s mother’s new business, a laundromat. Tori’s mom is convinced the laundromat is haunted, and you can be sure that hysterical hijinks will ensue! If you’re looking for a book with best friend sleuths trying to solve a mystery about a ghost, keep reading to learn more about a book by my author pal, Eva Pohler! Get this book here: https://books2read.com/u/4X6Yw9 If you’re looking for an escape from daily life that will have you reading past your bedtime, then you need Secrets of the Greek Revival. Read the description, then click the button below to get it from your favorite retailer. Like Nancy Drew meets The Golden Girls! Ellen and her two best friends share a mid-life crisis by hatching a plan to renovate an 1860's Greek revival in the nearby historic district of San Antonio. Although Ellen isn’t one to believe in ghosts, she comes face to face with something inexplicable in the attic. Her ghost-enthusiast friends convince her that they must help the spirit find closure, and as they dig deeper into the past, they uncover a shocking history that someone in the neighborhood doesn’t want exposed. But Ellen and her friends don't give up easily. They realize they've been called to give voice to the invisible women who suffered behind the walls of the house for decades. The books in this series may be read in any order. GET THE BOOK & START READING TODAY That's all for now.
