My New Job! Who would've thunk it?! LOUIS A. DEVLUGT, SR. JAN 29

1. I apologize Hi, LYPers! First, I apologize for not posting for you all this morning as expected. I can explain! There’s been a lot going on in my life the past few days! I’m so busy that this post won’t be a long one. Allow me to elaborate! 2. Wow!! In case you’re wondering where I’ve been—let me update you! As the result of what some might consider serendipity (although I know better), here’s what happened: I was recently hired as the production manager for an upcoming movie! Although this will reduce the time I have to write for Living Your Purpose, I know that this opportunity has been given to me as a result of all of the sacrifices I’ve made and the spiritual work that I’ve done over the past few years. So, as a show of gratitude, I’ve taken this opportunity to jump into the world of film headfirst! I’m so excited! And of course, I’ll keep you posted! 3. What’s next? As I mentioned above, I’ll have less time to write for Living Your Purpose, however, this won’t be the end of our community. My new job will give me much more content to share with you all! And, even though I may not post as frequently due to my new responsibilities, I promise to work on publishing at least bi-weekly. I’ll update the Living Your Purpose About page as soon as I can. In the meantime, please stay tuned for more content coming soon! I promise that my next post will be just as thoughtful and valuable as my “Being a Dad” series! If you haven’t read those posts yet, please check them out below! Being a Dad: Part 1 of 2 LOUIS A. DEVLUGT, SR. · JAN 15 Being a Dad: Part 1 of 2 1. My teenage view on having children I don’t recall ever thinking I’d have children when I was a teenager. My childhood was quite challenging, and now that I think about it, I probably wouldn’t have wanted to risk bringing anyone else into the world to suffer as I did. You see, I was not taught a very traditional worldview by my parents. They painted th… Read full story Being a Dad: Part 2 of 2 LOUIS A. DEVLUGT, SR. · JAN 22 Being a Dad: Part 2 of 2 1. My first daughter, Nairobi At the age of 33, and after a brief separation, my first wife and I had our daughter Nairobi. I always get a verbal jab from my ex-wife for how I chose our daughter’s name. You see, as I mentioned, I’m an avid gamer. And, during the time that my ex-wife was pregnant with our first daughter, I was wholly engrossed in a video … Read full story 4. See you soon! Well—that’s it, for now, LYPers! As we move forward in our journey and quest for purposeful living, I thank you as always for your support! Thank you for committing to living your purpose!
