Greg Abbott to secure the border. Their union issued a statement saying that their agents “appreciate and respect what TX has been doing to defend their state in the midst of this catastrophe that the Biden Admin has unleashed on America. We want to be perfectly clear, there is no fight between rank-and-file BP agents and the TX NG, Gov. Abbott, or TX DPS. That leaves him with only bad options, like sending in the Army against the Texas National Guard. But then he’d risk finding out that they might not obey him either (and considering what he's done to the Army, I might bet on the Texans.) He’s actually managed to project so much weakness that not only are China, Russia, Iran and North Korea not afraid to stand up to him, even his own Border Patrol is echoing Davy Crockett’s famous quote: “You may go to h*ll, and I will go to Texas.” As much as I agree with Texas on this issue, these optics are really bad for America in front of the world, and it’s Biden’s own fault for getting us, and him, into this mess. He wrote a blog post on a constitutional process for states to disregard orders from rogue Supreme Courts called “nullification.” It was used by Wisconsin in 1859 to refuse to comply with a SCOTUS order to return fugitive slaves back to their masters (any Democrats want to argue against that?) He also suggests that as long as the feds refuse to protect Texas from foreign invasion, the state should also vote to nullify the US income tax. If nothing else, that should make this suggestion very popular with a lot of Texans. Particularly the recent tax fugitives from California. Today’s news is filled with “shocking but unsurprising” stories. Yet as recently as last month, a Biden State Department spokesman was praising UNRWA as “essential” to Gaza. Well, essential to having turned Gaza into what it is, which is why it should have been defunded a long time ago. Today’s Must-Read: This is pretty long, but you have the whole weekend. Remember how Hillary Clinton tried to blame her husband’s infidelity on a “vast right-wing conspiracy?” Breitbart.com reports that it’s ironic that in the wake of her 2016 loss to Trump, the Democratic Party and much of the nation has been taken over by a vast left-wing conspiracy. And it’s been quite open about its goals, organization and methods. And while they have weaponized the government, the media, the court system and the election process to prevent Trump from getting back into power, they already have a detailed plan for blocking his agenda at every turn if he does manage to win, just as they did during his first term, only even more ruthlessly and efficiently. It is indeed a shame that the only organizational ability leftists seem to possess is that of rigging systems and bullying people to keep themselves in power. If they could just apply that effort to formulating policies that actually work, they wouldn’t have to devote all their time to undermining Republicans and destroying America's institutions, and maybe they could obtain power honestly. Trump Kangaroo Kourt Updates: It was shocking but not surprising Friday when a New York jury ordered Donald Trump to pay a staggering $83.3 million to writer E. Jean Carroll for allegedly defaming her by calling her a liar for claiming he raped her in 1994 in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York City. Both Trump and his attorney railed at the judge after the verdict, with Trump calling it “absolutely ridiculous,” a violation of his First Amendment rights, and part of the Biden-directed legal warfare to “get Trump.” His attorney said the judge found Trump guilty before they entered the courtroom and refused to allow her to introduce any evidence in his defense. She claims the demand to see the documents creates “confidentiality concerns” and violates principles of separation of powers. Reminder: When Trump aide Peter Navarro similarly cited executive privilege to Nancy Pelosi’s anti-Trump J6 committee, he was convicted of a crime and sentenced to four months in prison. https://nypost.com/2024/01/26/news/fani-willis-cites-confidentiality-wont-give-house-records-on-trump-case/ A Georgia state Representative has filed a resolution to impeach Willis, while the state Senate approved forming a committee to investigate her potential wrongdoing. The committee will have the power to compel testimony from witnesses and subpoena records.
