Tips for Choosing a Business Bank Account Provider
Tips for Choosing a Business Bank Account Provider
By Tamila McDonald | Last Updated February 28, 2023
Becoming one of the estimated 33.2 million small businesses that operate in the U.S. is exciting, but it also means there’s quite a bit to take care of. In most cases, opening a business bank account is essential, particularly if you want to simplify your company’s finances and maintain a degree of protection against liability.
Popcorn - Who Makes It Better?
You're going to enjoy this.
JAN 20
When I lived off campus for a semester in college, I worked at a movie theater. Happily for me, one of the perks was all the popcorn I could eat. Unfortunately for them, I was better at eating popcorn than making it. One night both popcorn machines went down. There was a small fire involved. We were able to get popcorn from the sister theater in a neighboring town, but I was off popcorn-making duty after that. We won’t even talk about the issue with the slushy machine.
Once I became a parent, as soon as my kids were old enough to have popcorn, we continued the family tradition, mostly on nights when my husband was on an overnight shift at the firehouse. Because I only have two kids, we’d snuggle on the couch, one on either side of me, with a giant bowl of popcorn (microwaved, not stovetop), with their drinks in sippy cups.
Now my kids are adults and still living at home, and they eat a bag of microwave popcorn each. Yes, popcorn is still a staple in our home. Whether it’s family movie night, a mid-afternoon lull, or that space between dinner and bedtime, popcorn is often our go-to snack.
But nothing, and I mean nothing, beats movie theater popcorn, especially when they layer the butter. Yes, you heard right. They fill the bucket (or bag) 1/3 of the way through, pour on the butter. Then they do it again. And then, they smother the top with butter. It always requires a handful of napkins, but it’s so good.

As excited as I am for the movie, and to get a night out alone with the hubby, I’m really looking forward to the popcorn. Until then, I’ll settle for having it here at home.
