The Saturday Group Text, #18

A code from Kate McLeod, J.Crew's gorgeous new arrivals, a new favorite snack, everything I watched this week, and more! Weekend Reading is waiting for you over on The Stripe. Your usual mix of recipes, shopping finds, books, and more. A fun style piece with Gen Z’s giving Millennials a bit of help. Elmo as a therapist. Loads of Swans related content (Lee Radziwill’s home, how Naomi Watts captured Babe Paley’s glamour, the two books that inspired the series), plus tons more. I hope you enjoy this week’s list! A code from Kate McLeod I have been a fan of Kate McLeod’s products for ages! You heard me rave and gush about the breathe pebbles all through the holiday season and I first featured the body stone (one of my most favorite moisturizers!) back in 2019 in this blog post about thoughtful gift ideas. It was a huge honor to partner with the brand on Instagram stories (today!) and they generously gave me a code for my readers which I wanted to share here too! Use GRACE20 for 20% off your purchase. The realest looking faux flowers Orange ranunculus are my most favorite flower but they can be hard to find and very seasonal. Also, expensive! Would you believe that these are just a fun Amazon find? They come in all sorts of colors and look very very realistic. I love them! A very delicious treat. I kinda wish I didn’t know about this one; it is heaven! The team at Tate’s (I love when snack brands reach out, it’s rare but always a treat) sent over a care package of cookies which was wonderful as I am a huge fan of the brand. What I didn’t know about was their delicious cookie bark. Imagine smashing up their signature crispy cookies and then dipping that in dark chocolate with a big sprinkle of sea salt. This may be bad form but I think you could put it in a bowl at a party and everyone would think it’s homemade. Truly so yummy. J.Crew’s February Collection! I am absolutely loving J.Crew’s entire February collection! As one might expect in February, there are lots of great pops of red. Like this brushed cashmere sweater (divine!). Or these classic ballerinas. I love these loafer heels (and love the styling even more - socks!). The collar of this blouse is so sweet, I love these off the shoulder stripes, and I have to admit I am curious to try their version of the High Sport pants. What I Watched This Week: I watched the first two episodes of Feud: Swans v Capote (Hulu). While I still enjoyed it, I felt a little bit disappointed. I can’t put my finger on exactly why. The sets and wardrobes were beautiful. I may have just been overzealous. I am still watching Funny Lady (Amazon Prime) and really loving it (if only for the wardrobe!). It is lighthearted and charming. Not lighthearted or charming at all: I also watched American Nightmare (Netflix) in two sittings - it is just three episodes and very good. Extras: Damien Hirst released a new collection of signed prints on Heni. They are only available until 2/5 and then they’re gone forever. I ordered Resolution and am really excited about that. I find that these prints are a good investment. Three years ago I purchased one of the Cherry Blossoms series for $3k and it is now valued at $26k so… there are no guarantees but they typically increase in value quite a bit. If you are curious about what it’s really like to be an influencer/blogger, I thought this A Beautiful Mess podcast episode was pretty much spot on. As the kids say, no notes!
